A: Like any object, reed cases will collect dust over time - but none of the materials used attract dust or static. Both the case and the silicone bands are easy to clean: simply wash them with water and mild soap when needed. Your case will look and perform like new with minimal maintenance.

Q: Can reeds grow mold inside the case?

A: After several years of using these cases myself, I can confidently say - no. The ventilation holes in every case provide consistent airflow, preventing the moisture buildup that causes mold. Proper ventilation is one of the core design principles behind every FswStudio reed case.

Q: How secure do reeds sit in the silicone band slots?

A: After extensive testing and many iterations, I've found the perfect balance of dimensions and flexibility for the silicone bands - they hold both thick and thin reeds securely without any risk of damage. When placing your reed, don't be afraid to apply a little pressure to push it into the slot - the silicone is designed to flex and grip, and you won't damage the reed or the band.

Q: What are the chances of accidentally breaking a reed inside the case?

A: The chances are very small - but never zero, so I always recommend handling your reeds with care. That said, the design of most of my cases includes a tray that keeps reeds elevated and gives them enough space to sit freely inside the case, significantly reducing the risk of accidental damage. Note that the Slim version has a more compact fit by design, so extra care is recommended when putting the reed in and out.

Q: How do FswStudio reed cases perform after years of use?

A: After several years of daily use, testing, and making these cases myself, I haven't noticed any decline in the durability of either the case or the silicone bands - they remain just as flexible and secure as when new. The one thing I do recommend: avoid leaving your case in direct sunlight for extended periods, as prolonged heat exposure may slightly deform the 3D-printed body.
