Reeds need to dry before you store them away. This rack gives every one its own place - and grows with your collection.
Magnetic Drying Rack for 14 Bassoon Reeds
Features
-
Removable magnetic pins: 14 pins on magnets that easily lift out and back in whenever you like.
- Reed markings: every pin carries a mark sized to the F5 Rieger dorn, showing exactly how far the reed should sit.
- Improved pin slots: A reworked slot shape makes pins quicker and easier to slide in and out - even in the stackable format, with no need to remove the upper layers.
- Two formats: Available in two identical versions - the only difference is the holder holes used for stacking.
- Each piece comes with 14 clear pins. Stackable versions also come with plugs for the holes and holders to hold the layers together - 2 layers get 2 holders, 3 layers get 4 holders, and so on.
- Durability: designed and 3D printed from high-quality materials to stand up to drops and last for years.
Simple magnetic or stackable
Two versions are available, differing in one thing only: the holder holes used for stacking. Both racks are functionally identical, but the simple magnetic version has no extra holes, so it can't be used in the stackable format.
Experimental stacking feature
Designed with two or three layers in mind, though it can go higher. Stacking is an experimental but stable feature - the stack stays steady on its own at rest, and just asks for a careful hand when you move it.
Held by magnets
The magnetic pins seat quickly into their slots and hold firmly during gentle transport, with no rattling.
Plugs for the holder holes
When you're not using the stackable format, the holder holes can be closed off with the special plugs, keeping the rack neat.
Built for quick, easy rearranging
Refined pin slots make each pin easier to lift out, even when the rack is stacked, so you never have to disturb the layers above.
Designed by a bassoonist, made in Germany
I'm Valerii, a bassoonist from Hamburg. In my free time I work on 3D design, and at some point I decided to bring my two pursuits together. I create and make every product myself, and I test each one and care about its quality. This shop is more to me than simply printing products - I love making things and being genuinely useful to musicians all over the world.
Make it yours
Because every piece is made to order, the color doesn't have to be ours. Choose a shade that's yours alone - a small thing that makes reaching for your reeds feel a little better, every single day. You can read more about what we can change on our customization page.
Dimensions
Keep your rack out of direct sunlight and heat - like any plastic, it can warp at high temperatures, so a shelf or drawer is its ideal home. Cleaning is simple: wipe it down, and rinse the removable pins whenever you like. With no fabric or foam, there's nothing to trap moisture or grime.
